Anna-Maria Orlu is an Award-Winning Nigerian actress, Personality Host, Published model, and currently Miss Nigeria United Nations. Born in Athens, Greece, she was raised in Dublin, Ireland. 

After moving to the United States to finish college, Anna-Maria attended the University of Toledo, where she obtained a bachelor’s in Pre-Occupational Therapy and a master’s in Social Work. Her love for the Arts began at the age of 9, when she sang in musical plays at various Irish theatres. She developed a passion for modeling and dancing, as well. 

Anna-Maria went on to act in theatre plays, including The Crumbs from the Table of Joy by Lynn Nottage and Lockdown by Douglas Craven. She continued singing, acting, modeling, and dancing throughout her college years.

In 2018, Anna-Maria took her talents to Los Angeles to expand her passion for the Arts. As a commercial and televison actress, she undergoes weekly professional training in acting and dance. She enjoys learning and mastering new skills, which she believes is vital to her growth as an artist.  

Anna-Maria’s theatrical works include W.T.F. (2019), a short film directed by Angel Ogwo, in which Anna-Maria played the villainous CEO, Jada. In the feature Straight Bull (2022), she plays the character of Lisa, a passionate gym enthusiast. Further, in Marche (2023), a Short film directed by Wendy-Sème Orleans, she plays the lead character, Angela, a young Haitian woman. Anna-Maria won best actress for Marche (2023) at the New Jersey Film Festival. In Addition, in Short Film Gates (2024) directed by Dennis Delemar, Anna-Maria plays the lead character Cha. Where Cha and her partner Amir got kicked out the kingdom and must find their way back to the Gates in a strange new world.

In terms of modeling, Anna-Maria has modeled for LA Fashion Week, London Fashion Week, and other live fashion events. As a print model, she has been published on the cover of Marika Magazine and Gmaro Magazine. Anna-Maria has also appeared in print ads for skincare brands, including Joycrowned, and inclusive makeup brand, Mented. Additionally, she has modeled for influential clothing brands, including Provok Clothing.

Anna-Maria has hosted red carpet events in Los Angeles, including Ankara Festival, HAPA Awards, Afro Award, Pan African Film Festival, Culver City Fil Festival and currently Shein website live host.

Anna-Maria hopes to tell stories that positively influence societies and leave a lasting impression. Her goal is to continue sharing her love for the Arts while embracing the business side of the industry.
